Office chair Do a quick Google search for an ergonomic chair, and you’ll be inundated with results. And they’re bound to be confusing, too, with so many different conflicting features. In fact, many of them won’t even look like chairs at all, so how are you supposed to determine which one will be right for you? Here are a few things to keep in mind:

1) Height.

A truly ergonomic chair will provide a full range of height adjustments so that you can find the right fit, no matter how tall or short you are. Ideally, your feet should rest lightly on the ground, with your knees at a 45-degree angle.

2) Armrests.

These are essential for supporting your arms throughout the day, and they’ll also provide a little respite as you take breaks throughout the day (as youshould). Anergonomic mousewill also help you in this regard, providing ample support as you mouse throughout long work sessions.

3) Lumbar Support.

When sitting, it’s important that you maintain proper posture. However, this can be difficult to do all on your own, and without the right support, you’re much more likely to hunch. An ergonomic chair will provide padding to support your lumbar region and keep you in the best position. Ideally, the back of the chair will be adjustable, so you can position lumbar support right where it needs to be.

4) Headrest.

While you should never use a headrest while you type (doing so will overextend your arms), it will prove essential in providing neck support while completing other tasks that you complete in a more reclined position. Talking on the phone is one example.

当然,这仍然leaves the field wide open to a number of different chair styles. For a funny, in-depth review of a number of the chairs out there, we highly recommend reading,A Chair Should Look Like a Chair, and Be Comfy, which details one man’s quest for the perfect chair.
